Rock Climbing, Abseiling and Scrambling.

We provide a variety of climbing and scrambling activities from introductory courses for the complete novice to personal training days for experienced climbers.

Climbing - groups and families

Adventure Rocks specialises in family and group climbing days. We can arrange for a half-day introduction to get you on the rock for the first time on a friendly little crag through to tackling some of the country’s biggest cliffs. Come along for a fun day - no previous experience required. Instructional days covering basic to advanced climbing techniques and can be tailor made for you and your party.

Abseiling and Rap Running

Adventure rocks offers you the chance to abseil backwards and forwards down a vertical cliff, dam or viaduct. This excellent character building session is waiting for you, your friends or your collegues. This activity is a perfect way to conquer a fear of heights. An exciting day when combined with a high ropes session. Cost is £30 pp for a half day abseiling session. We will even through in some rock climbing as an extra if you want!

Scrambling

If you are an experienced hillwalker and are looking to challenge yourself on a more technical route to the summit then scrambling is for you. We can guide you and teach you the techniques used to safe guard yourself up some of the most impressive mountain routes in the country. Guiding and instruction is set at £130 per day and will run with a maximum of 3 people per party.

Introduction to Rock Climbing. Ideal for a great day out, no previous experience is needed. An excellent introductory course suitable for family, friends or collegues. Course run with a minimum of 3 people. Belaying, knot tying and abseiling will be covered.

 

Independent Rock Climbing. This course is aimed at anyone looking to rock climb independantly after the course's duration. All aspects of single pitch rock climbing will be covered with an introduction to multi pitch climbing. Topics include gear selection, gear placement and creating anchors, top roping and bottom roping systems, abseiling, belaying, rescue techniques and an introduction to lead climbing. Previous climbing experience is recommended.
